Why do we support these organizations?

We like to help. We like to see our $$$ or Euros put straight to work. We don’t support organizations with a large overhead or huge marketing budgets. Ever cent we donate to these organizations will be put straight to work. There is no or very minimal overhead involved.

 

We believe that kids are our future and that they deserve special attention and protection. Very often that is not the case and that’s why we (and you?) are stepping up.

 

Of course there are plenty of other organizations in your neighborhood that could use your help as well. We are just mentioning what we are trying to do. You will find your own way to make a difference.

 

This is just another piece of our path. Here is what we have done so far:

 

Send A Player - World Cup 2006 project

We created an e-card generator that allowed visitors to customize an e-card and dress up famous soccer players and add a custom quote. Thanks to a sponsor and many visitors we were able to donate a 5-digit amount to the Salus Foundation. The money was used to support the meals & education of poor girls in India.

 

Global Warming Web Video Award

We announced a web video contest In spring 2007. We invited web video makers to submit their own takes on “global warming”. The end of each video showed the logo of stopglobalwarming.org. We didn’t raise any funds but tried to create some awareness for a topic we consider very important for our future. You can still see the winner videos here..
